At the Greek Language School of Wales starting in 2018, we offer complete Beginners, Improvers and Intermediate classes of Greek for Adults.

 

• 10-week Greek Language courses

• Open to all adults

• Small class sizes of 5-10 students.

The Greek for Adults classes are 2-hour courses held once a week at the Greek School of Wales in Cardiff. The cost is £170 for the course including the beginners level textbook. The course instructor is Ioanna Kanelaki, a qualified secondary school teacher for Modern Greek and History.

The Beginners courses will help you to communicate effectively in Modern Greek. We offer Beginners, Improvers and Intermediate levels of adult lessons, which cover the following topics and grammar: The Alphabet, Numbers, Greetings, Drinks and food, Asking questions, Ordering things, Getting around: Directions, Finding somewhere to stay, Occupations, Nationalities, Expressing an opinion, Talking about the past, Time, days of the week, and seasons. In summary:

 

Beginners Level:

You'll learn the language as it is spoken in everyday life for basic communication situations and develop your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.  We will practise basic conversation and language structure. 

 

Improvers Level: 

 

These courses will give you the opportunity to revise and further develop your skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Modern Greek.

Intermediate Level A1:

​

This course enables you to enhance your language skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)  and to help you in your preparation to take the Ellinomatheia exams for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek, Level A1.
